Congratulations to all of you that were awarded for your outstanding achievements last year. My thanks again to the celebration team for an outstanding staff training day. Yes the whip cream pie was really good (however I could smell whip cream for the rest of the day). So send me your ideas for my next adventure (or should I say CEO abuse) idea. Also be sure and check your email for our celebration teams bowling tournament scheduled for March 24th. Just a reminder to be sure and check with your coach next week and see how they are doing on their key ideas they are focused on for the next 30 days. Lucky for me I was assigned to Holly and I look forward to working together for the next month.
Yesterday ECCU held its 78th annual meeting (yes, we were chartered in 1932). My thanks to all of the folks who helped out. Pat even though she had the flu was logged on still directing everyone in what they need to do for the day (what can I say Pat is just awesome). Also my thanks to Angela Dayton in filling in at the last minute to take minutes of the annual meeting and board meeting to follow. We had an excellent turnout with people standing in the back.
In yesterday's board meeting there were several decisions that you will be hearing more about soon:
- A code of ethics policy was completed by all board members (this is required annual by all staff and volunteers of ECCU)
- Corporate resolutions were updated for all of our operating accounts
- Our overdraft payment policy was updated and presented by Melissa
- Quarterly internal audit was presented by Jeri
- Semi-Annual regulatory audit was presented by Jeri
- BSA/AML risk assessment was presented by Jeri
- ATM security review was presented by Jeri
- A Proposal to adopt ADP total source program (this will provide for a wider range of benefits for staff, compliance training, sales training, management training, as well as outsourcing of our previous HRVP role). You will see upcoming information soon regarding this program.
As a result of this change Howard will now be reporting to Melissa and Deana to me.
Also our marketing department has finished the initial draft of our ECCU video, shot for Exxon Mobil for the Woodlands project. As well we have contracted with S.E. Covington to develop a letter of intent for CDC Development regarding purchase of land in the Woodlands. Our marketing department will also be on site this weekend at the Cy-Fair Home and Garden Show. Be sure to drop by and say hello if you attend.
ECCU has approved an APS (Automated Processing System) from CUAC that will allow ECCU much more oversight of the indirect lending process and faster response to the dealer. Kanika will be sharing more about that program in upcoming weeks. We are only a little over a week away from our staff PC banking launch. Be sure and let Jojo know if you want to be included in the beta group for this product. Also IT is finalizing our install of upgraded bandwidth which should provide much faster data speed through TW Telecom which should be completed by next month.
Everyone have an awesome weekend!
